Use case: a product launch with a dot and Higgsfield
A launch is a long-running job with many moving parts: research, concepts, images, video, ad variations and review. A dot can carry it between conversations, and the Higgsfield plugin gives it image and video models inside ChatGPT.
- Dots can use plugins installed on your account. Higgsfield has an official ChatGPT plugin.
- You need a paid Higgsfield subscription. Every generation spends Higgsfield credits.
- One dot runs the whole launch, splitting work across background agents. You don't need five dots.
- Research and concepts first; generate only after you pick a direction.
- Nothing gets posted or published without your approval.
Higgsfield, an OpenAI Marketplace partner, announced Dots x Higgsfield with a demo of several dots coordinating a brand launch. At launch, ChatGPT accounts get one dot each. This guide shows the same workflow with one dot and the Higgsfield plugin, which you can set up today.
What you can produce
| Product imagery | Hero images, product photoshoots, packaging mockups, social graphics |
|---|---|
| Launch video | Short launch videos, UGC-style product showcases, narrated explainers |
| Ad variations | Ad Multiplier: variations of an existing video ad that change selected elements and keep the rest |
| YouTube and social | Thumbnails, Instagram covers, subtitles, faceless videos with a consistent presenter |
| Not in ChatGPT yet | Higgsfield says audio generation and its Website Building skill aren't available through ChatGPT |
1. Install the Higgsfield plugin
- Open the Plugins Directory in ChatGPT, find Higgsfield and select Add.
- Sign in to your Higgsfield account and authorize. A paid Higgsfield subscription is required.
- Check it works: ask “What is my Higgsfield credit balance?” If the reply doesn't use Higgsfield, reconnect the plugin.
On Business or Enterprise workspaces, availability depends on your plan and workspace settings, and some plugins need admin approval. Your dot uses the plugins enabled for your account, with their existing permissions.
2. Give your dot the launch
You're running the launch of [product] until it ships on [date]. Use the Higgsfield plugin for images and video. Brief: [what it is, who it's for, the one benefit to lead with]. Brand rules: [colors, fonts, tone, words to avoid]. References: [links or files]. Deliverables: 3 hero images, one 15-second launch video, 3 ad variations, 2 YouTube thumbnails. Credit budget: [N] Higgsfield credits total. Check the balance before each generation and ask me before you go over budget. You may research, write and propose concepts without asking. Ask me before every new batch of generations. Never post, publish or send anything. Before you start, confirm you can use the Higgsfield plugin and tell me my current credit balance.
3. Research and concepts before generation
Generations cost credits, while research and writing don't. Make your dot do the thinking first:
Research 5 recent launches in our category. Then propose 3 distinct creative directions for our launch. For each: one-line concept, headline, visual treatment, and the tradeoffs between them. Don't generate anything yet. I'll pick a direction.
4. Produce assets in stages
Go one stage at a time so you can correct direction before spending more credits:
Direction [A] approved. Stage 1: generate 3 hero images from the product photos I shared. Keep the product's identifying details accurate and leave space for a headline. Show me the results and the credits used, then wait for my feedback before stage 2 (the launch video).
- Stage 1: hero images and product shots.
- Stage 2: a 15-second launch video focused on one benefit, ending with your call to action.
- Stage 3: ad variations with Ad Multiplier, changing one element per variation.
- Stage 4: thumbnails, covers and subtitles.
Your dot can split stages across background agents and keep working between conversations. Ask it for a short progress note at each stage: what's done, what it needs from you, and anything that blocked it.
5. Review before anything ships
| Accuracy | Product details, claims and prices match the brief |
|---|---|
| Text | Headlines, captions and subtitles are correct and readable |
| Brand | Colors, tone and logo usage follow your brand rules |
| Consistency | Characters, presenters and products look the same across assets |
| Rights | You have the right to use every reference image, face and asset |
Publishing is your call. Keep posting, paid ads and sending files to others behind your approval with Custom Rules, or in your first message if Custom Rules are turned off on your workspace.
Costs to plan for
- Higgsfield credits: every generation through a connected agent deducts credits, whatever your plan.
- Your ChatGPT plan: talking to your dot doesn't count toward ChatGPT limits; Codex and ChatGPT Work tasks it starts do. See usage limits.
